Good trails mean potential body or driveline damage. Los Coyotes, near Warner Springs, California, offers the probability for both. The trails and terrain vary from tight woods to granite slabs, mud, and dusty slick climbs. There are also challenging trails for relatively stock Jeeps, as well. However, it’s best to leave the fullsize at home unless Manzanita paint scratches and rocker dents don’t bother you. We had heard a rumor that the park was closing, but the Indians who run the park assured us that it was going to stay open to 4x4s. The best time to hit the park is after a good rain because it keeps the dust down and the trails turn into riverbeds. Unfortunately, it was summer for us but here’s the Memorial weekend action we caught on camera. If you’re interested in making your own action you can contact the Los Coyotes band of Indians at P.O. Box 189, Warner Springs, CA 92086 or call 760/782-0711 for more information.
